We met Uncle Sean and Antle Lori and her (our) friend Lars at the ferry terminal in Mukilteo.

Surprise! We found Dunkle Dave strumming his guitar decked out in motorcycle gear.

We may have attarcted a bit of attention.

The ferry ride was short and sweet. This is a photo from the vehicle deck as we were docking.

The horse Josie that grazed the front yard of the house we rented.

The view of the inlet from the house.

Dead jellyfish! There were so many that washed up on shore or were floating in the shallows.

The girls loved beachcombing. There were tons and tons of shells.

Tada! They filled three bags full.

The inlet. The water was so calm the first morning we went to the shore.

Lots of beach stuff to sift through. Lola wanted to find sand dollars.
We found five in total. She was stoked. I loved the moonsnail shells.
We found two of those. No starfish. Boohoo.

We did see these very cute harbour seals lounging on this dock.

This pic was taken at Trader Joes in Bellingham......

That saturday we went to the Bayview Farmer's market. Lola and Astrid dressed in costume to get some candy!

The market was pretty cool. We bought an awsome tahini sauce....and lots of veggies and fruit.

They had a candy scramble for the kids. Woohoo!

The lady here organising it was alot of fun.

The kids were all pretty mellow about finding candy....no swarms or tears or candy snatching....

The wee ones were very diplomatic.

The older crowd here waiting for their turn.....a little more of a sport this time....

Two ghoulish girls.

We went to visit Aunt Lori's chickens too.

Feather envy.

Here chicky chick chick....

They were fun to hang with.

Popsy Wopsy!

Some Canadian kids out for a stroll Oct 31 in Langly Wa......

Watch out quiet island town!

The Highley clan hittin' the streets....who's that clown?

It was kinda like an image from Wisteria Lane in Desperate Houswives.

Again...so angelic or not. I love this image of good and evil.

Astrid called it quits after filling her sack with candy from all the merchants. the other three girls ventured forth.

Bottles of blood from the Blood Bank....this house had a cool dead disco happening. We grooved out to the electronic disco beat.

Aunt Lori and Danny busting a move.

A bit disturbing....but it was Halloween. What's in those cups Dunkle Dave? And how much has Antle Lori had? Teehee.
