Art Class with Kindrie Grove : local artist

Kindrie's forte is nature drawing. These were pictures displayed in her studio.

I believe they were done by her students.

The kids gathered round with their sketchbooks handy to await instructions.

Kindrie explained a bit about light and shadow.

They began sketching.

Next instruction was to draw a funny dog.

And so they did.

Ooops! This is a picture of the letter B, which they were instructed to

give it human characteristics such as a face. This image was inspired

by Shauna who is embodying a pregnant goddess right now.

This is the funny dog Astrid drew.

Eden hard at work. The kids loved sketching.

Amelia and Momo intently listening to directions.

The kids were very focused on Kindrie.

Working with water colour pencils and shading.

They were instructed to sketch an apple, then shade.

Look at them go!

And go!

Astrid's apple and flower. She really wanted to experiment with

the medium.

Then more animal sketching.

Some free drawing towards the end...

The kids thoroughly enjoyed their session.

Afterwards we went to the Japanese gardens to run around.

It's a beautiful space located behind the art gallery.

The kids love the koi pond.

So many cool fish to see.

A peak very close to the edge.

Cool murals by the art gallery.

Awsome!

Love this one.

Best buds. A beautiful day.
