Part Two Salmon hike

It's that time of year again! The salmon are spawning and it's always a cool thing to check out.
We headed out to Hardy Falls in Peachland to check out the action first hand.

We had already learned alot about the salmon and their life cycle from our awsome parks interpreter and were ready for a free for all hike.

We stayed together and tried to stay together as a group because there had been a few bears hanging out in the area. No worries with this bunch of kids.....all the bears within a 50km radius took off.

We finished up lunch and took to the trail.

Amazing how the fish swim up this stream.

The path to the waterfalls.

Beautiful!

The super cool waterfall at the end of the hike.

Astrid wanted her picture taken by the waterfall.

It was a warm and sunny fall day.

The kids by the waterfall.

The mamma's and grandmamma pictured here curtesy of our youth photograher Emma! Good job Emma!

Wow...no bears. See ya later aligators.
